Hosting my portfolio on AWS

Although there are many ways to host a website these days - some are easy, and some are exciting. Having worked at AWS for just over a year I still find it satisfying when all of the AWS service lego pieces come together and work in harmony.

Amazon S3 has been a great choice for static website hosting for many years now. And as we all (should) know, public S3 bucket access is rarely a good idea, so Amazon CloudFront as a means to serve our content at the edge securely is virtually a requirement.
